So, as you know bob, I’m forever trying to find ways to force my own hand – when it comes to writing, when it comes to religious practice, when it comes to just about anything. I tend to need motivating factors outside of my own head (or even inside my own head, if we’re talking about self-imposed deadlines, for example) in order to get me to actually Get Stuff Done.
Case in point: I’ve spent the past two days knitting, preserving, and making jewelry in preparation for: Tomorrow’s trip to visit the in-laws[1]. Would I have made three kinds of preserves (one of them in triple-batch form) if I didn’t have Gift Baskets to throw together? Nope!
At least not right now.
Consequently, I was delighted to see what Miss Sugar and her muse cooked up over at Charmed, I’m Sure.
It’s sort of like Nanowrimo but without a word-count requirement. Or something. A combination support community and force of accountability. Just what I need. 🙂
